CLASSICAL DANCE |
 Sree Sankara School of Dance, Kalady, registered with Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy is a non-profit-making institution established in 1993. The School imparts training in Mohiniyattam, Bharathanatyam &
Kuchupudi. As an art society, it promotes training programme, choreography, lecture demonstration etc. It promotes training programmes in classical dance in rural areas and with this view in mind, it has so far established 15 training centres in rural areas of Ernakulam and Trissur districts. On an average 500 students are undergoing training in the School on traditional lines supervised by 10 honorary teachers. The School has staged two Choreography productions. - "Sankaram Loka Sankaram" dealing with 18 important episodes in the life history of Adi Sankaracharya and "Prakrithi Bhava Mayi" a production depicting the exploitation of the nature by anti social elements. |
